Lifespan: Why We Age—and Why We Don’t Have To

Short reviews:
This book reveals the theory about “Aging is a disease”, which means it is treatable. The main problem of aging is the loss of information. Dr. Sinclair believes that if DNA is a form of digital information, and aging is caused by the loss of analog information known as the epigenome that is decoded from digital information.

To understand that, you can imagine listening to music. CD represents digital information, and the sound is decoded by a CD player is physical or analog information which sometimes is imperfect. That is the loss of analog information.

For this book, you will get the knowledge of aging and Dr. Sinclair’s life at the same time. He takes us to his research to prove the concept and his passion to study this topic from the beginning. It is not a science textbook, but it is a science story. In the second part, the solutions to increase lifespan were also presented.
