V for Vendetta introduce himself with amazing dialogue

V for Vendetta

Last weekend, I read the masterpiece of Alan Moore, “V for Vendetta” again, then watched the same name’s film adaptation. And I realized how cool it was that V introduced himself to Evey in the film, not even seen this dialogue in the graphic novel version in the epic scene. (however, in the graphic novel preset all chapter title with V words)

I would say this is one of the best presents of the character in the film I’ve seen. In that scene, V answered the question that Evey asked him who he is. He responded to the question with many of the V words. How’s fantastic it was. Let you see and count them by yourself.

“On this most auspicious of nights permit me then, in lieu of the more commonplace sobriquet to suggest the character of this dramatis persona.

Voilà!

In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate.

This visage, no mere veneer of vanity is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished.

However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition.

The only verdict is vengeance, a vendetta held as a votive not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous.

Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose. So let me simply add that it’s my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.”
